Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, Today I want to take a look at the Sock traits available in the horses.

These are great to mix in with your projects!

The Sock trait was introduced with the Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses that were on sale from February 7, 2013 through February 22, 2013.

On February 7, 2013 a twist to the Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses was announced. If you breed a Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses with a Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses you will have the ability to get a new trait called Socks.

Please note that socks are an alternative to hoof traits so you may only have one or the other on a horse

From October 1, 2013 through October 9, 2013 the Limited Edition 2013 Fall Horses were on sale. By breeding these Limited Editions with any other horse you had the chance at getting 1 of 4 new Sock colors, Black, White, Green or Rainbow.

Hello everyone and Happy Monday! Since our next graduation is fast approaching I wanted to take a moment to talk about the Amaretto Ranch University website. The ARU website is a great tool for anyone attending ARU classes! The website is a great place to keep up with which classes you have or haven’t taken.

Its super easy to sign up just visit the ARU at:

Look for the red terminal in the entry way just click the terminal to begin your sign up process!
A blue drop down menu will show up in the upper right hand corner of your screen this is where you will choose to either sign up or reset your password if you forgot it.

You do not have to wait for email confirmation it will give your user name and temporary password.
Now we need to go to the Amaretto Website to Login:

You MUST use your full SL name if your last name is resident you must put resident,

Once you have signed up for the ARU website it may take a few days for all your classes to show up but don’t worry! If your classes are not showing up after a week please file a support ticket and let us know which classes you are missing,

If you have trouble signing up in world please feel free to send Jaymee Caproni or Avalon Crystal a notecard. I hope that this helps some of you who are confused or having trouble using the ARU website!

Whether you are a new breeder or have been breeding for a while now, there are times when we all have questions and need a little help. And, who better to get help from than a friend?

That is what the Amaretto Mentor Program is all about – Friends helping Friends!

The Amaretto Mentor Program was an idea born from our wonderful staff and community via the A.M.O.C. group meetings, has come to life to help anyone in need of information and guidance from an experienced breeder. The Amaretto Mentor Program is something that everyone can take part in.

If you would like to help out a new breeder or even a breeder that’s been in the game for a while who just has some questions, then we encourage you to sign up to become a Mentor. You can click the “Become a Mentor” board and you will be assigned a group tag of Mentor.

The mentors are not Amaretto staff, just giving people who are willing to help with issues and questions one might have when breeding Amaretto animals. Of course the Mentors will be able to contact Amaretto Staff with any questions they may have, but we want to encourage everyone in the community to extend a helping hand and share your knowledge of Amaretto Breedables.

Now if you have questions about breeding or you’re a new breeder in the community, you can sign up to become a Mentee. You can click the “New to Amaretto Breedables” board and you will be assigned a group tag of Mentee.

Amaretto released the first Ponie Oasis Ponie on September 19,2017 As an added surprise if you breed your Amaretto Oasis Ponie – Mardi Gras with a Masquerade in Lemon, Gold Bandit, or Yellowie Fabulous you have a chance at getting a Golden Wing!

The Wings trait comes from breeding “Starter Style” together or one starter with any other Ponie.

Happy Monday Everyone!! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Are you looking forward to a fun week of breeding? Well, today I wanted to tell you all about the Amaretto Horse Consumables and what each does. Hopefully this will help toward your great week of breeding!

Horsie Snacks- This one time use snack will decrease one of your horse’s nourishment by 10%
Once the horses stats have been updated the Horsie Snacks box will disappear.

Sugar Cubes- A onetime use consumable that will increase one of your horse’s happiness by 15%.
Once the horses stats have been updated the Sugar Cubes box will disappear.

Endurance Elixir – A onetime use elixir that will increase one of your horse’s energy by 10%
Once the horses stats have been updated the Endurance Elixir bottle will disappear.

Amaretto Cocktail – A one-time use cocktail that will increase energy, happiness and fervor by 5% and decrease nourishment by 5%.
Once the horses stats have been updated the Amaretto Cocktail glass will disappear.

Healing Kit – A one-time use kit that will heal one sick horse and bring its nourishment down to 0%. You will need to rez food near the horse so that it can continue to eat and not become sick again!
Once the horse’s stats have been updated the Healing Kit will disappear.

Passion Pill – A one-time use pill that will increase one of your horse’s fervor by 10%
Once the horses stats have been updated the Passion Pills bottle will disappear.

Amaretto Pregnancy Boosters – A one-time use booster that will increase one of your horse’s pregnancies by 1% or 5%
Once the horses stats have been updated the Pregnancy Booster bottle will disappear.

This is the consumables and I will mention the breedable food.

Breedable food is the food you want to use if you are planning on breeding your horses.
Once the Breedable food has been completely consumed it will disappear.

Pet Food is used if you want to keep your horses as pets or if the horses are retired.
If you decide to breed your horse after feeding it Pet Food, it will take 7 days on Breeder Food for the effects of the Pet Food to wear off.
Once the Pet Food has been completely consumed it will disappear.

Salt licks – A stat booster that gives a 1% increase in happiness over time.
Once the Salt Lick has been completely consumed it will disappear.

These are the consumables for the Amaretto Horses. You will need some of the consumables to keep your horses happy and so you can enjoy them.

What is a FOTW Eye?
Well its a Flags of the World Eye! Each month Amaretto releases a new FOTW Eye! This eye DOES have the ability to pass

So this month starting on February 1, 2018 you can get the Flags of the World – Ireland eye!

You will only have the month of February to get the Flags of the World – Ireland eye to randomly surprise your breeding!

“A Horse With No Name” may have made a good ’70’s song title but it’s not good for your Amaretto Breedable Horses (or Bundles, K9s, Kennels, Barnyard Birds, Nests, Ponie Pals and Baskets)!

As we all know, Second Life can have issues and these issues can cause duplication of breedables, disappearance of breedables, or incomplete transfer of breedables. When this happens, we need information to replace/remake your breedable, such as the name and/or UUID number. If you leave your breedable with the Amaretto default name, it can make it harder, many times impossible, to find. So please take the time to name all your breedables.

When you get a bundle, kennel, nest, or basket, and you decide not to birth it, name it before you take it into your inventory. Names can be as simple as using a number.

Naming also has a second purpose and that’s to help you track your breedables for various things like easy organizing of your inventory or prepping for an auction. So remember even giving it a simple name can help us help you and help you keep track. Be creative and start naming your breedables today!

Hey guys its getting a little festive around the ranch who is ready for FAT TUESDAY?

The origins of Mardi Gras can be traced to medieval Europe, passing through Rome and Venice in the 17th and 18th centuries to the French House of the Bourbons. From here, the traditional revelry of “Boeuf Gras,” or fatted calf, followed France to her colonies.

New Orleans was established in 1718 by Bienville. By the 1730s, Mardi Gras was celebrated openly in New Orleans, but not with the parades we know today. In the early 1740s, Louisiana’s governor, the Marquis de Vaudreuil, established elegant society balls, which became the model for the New Orleans Mardi Gras balls of today.

Like Comus and the Twelfth Night Revelers, most Mardi Gras krewes today developed from private social clubs with restrictive membership policies. Since all of these parade organizations are completely funded by their members, New Orleanians call it the “Greatest Free Show on Earth!”

When does Mardi Gras start and end?
The Carnival season actually begins on Jan. 6, which is King’s Day (Feast of the Epiphany).
Fat Tuesday is never on the same day each year because Easter Sunday is never on the same Sunday each year. Fat Tuesday is always the day before Ash Wednesday.

Last Bred: Says, in local, the last ponie that it was bred to, or says “This Ponie has never been kissed!” if they have never been bred

Last Basket: Says, in local, the name of the last basket and UUID or “This Ponie has never been kissed!” if they have never had a basket

Wear

• Walk (Will ask to attach the ponie, select yes and this ponie will walk beside you)
• Hold (Will ask to attach the ponie, select yes and this ponie will attach to your right arm to be held)

While wearing the ponie, you can edit and adjust it to where you like. When finished adjusting, click the ponie select save from the menu and it will save the position for next time.

To remove the ponie, just detach it in inventory. If you want to change the animation between walk and hold, rez the ponie back out and use the wear menu again.

**When attaching the ponie to your avatar, it can possibly remove your avatar mesh body. Just add your mesh body back after attaching the ponie.**

Consumables: this menu lists the consumables you can use on your ponie

• Cake! (multi stat booster)
• Soup (used to heal the ponie when sick)
• Energize Me (stat booster used for zing)
• M Sundae, Moxie Sundae (stat booster used for moxie)

Rename: To rename your ponie “Amaretto Ponie Pal: Please say the name you would like me to have in local!”

Label: To set a label for your ponie which is displayed under the name

• Set Label: “Please say the label you would like me to have in local!”
• Clear Label: “Clearing custom label!”

Website: Says, in local, the link to the Social Network

Support: Says, in local, the links to the ponie wiki and the support sites

Settings: Multiple setting menus

• Go home: sends ponie home
• List: Lists settings of your ponie
• Breed: who will your ponie breed with (Owner, Group or All)
• Set Home: Resets your ponies home position
• Sound: To turn off and on sounds
• Movement: To set your ponies movement to Physical, Phantom or Off
• Text: Turns text on and off
• Range: To set/change the range of your ponie
• Animations: To turn off and on animations
• Particles: To turn off and on particles

Stats: Shows the stats of the ponie

Parents: Says, in local, the names and UUIDS of the ponies parents or if the ponie is a stater will say “This Ponie is a starter ponie”

Main Menu: Takes to back to the main start menu

Close: Closes out the menu
