Hey guys its a Terrific Tuesday here at amaretto! I wanted to shine my Spotlight this week on one of my favorite things each month …. The Community Meeting.

Last month we had a great Community Meeting with many of you showing up with lots of great questions and some really good suggestions.

We are now having the Community Meeting on the last Thursday of each month, this is a great opportunity for breeders to connect with Amaretto and ask all those questions that you have been wanting to know the answers to.

I look forward to seeing you all at the next Community Meeting on July 25, 2019 at 1 o’clock SLT. Side note you never know what you might learn at the community meeting as well! Happy Breeding everyone this is Ava over and out!

Hello and Happy Hump Day to everyone! Today I am going to take a moment to talk to you about the Last Bundle and Last Bred buttons on the menu. This button is a very useful tool and I think it is very under used. Let me give you an example of how useful this button can be… Let’s say you log on one day and quickly head over to check your bundles you got while you were offline… you get to one of your favorite horses and to your dismay the bundle underneath it has a bright red error message over it reading “Mother Had Second Bundle In 3 Days” and you didn’t already receive a good bundle! What?! Noooo! Now, thanks to Linden Labs, it is ticket time! Now here is where that button comes in handy. You can simply follow these simple steps and get the UUID of the last bundle they had (or should’ve had in the case of the “Mother had second bundle”) I am using a horse in this post as an example but this applies to K9 and Barnyard Birds as well…

To get the last Offspring of a Horse, K9, Bird, or Pony!

  1. Click on the breedable to bring up the Main Menu
  2. From the Main Menu select the Breeding button
  3. From there you select Last Bundle

You will see in local chat something that looks like this:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: The last bundle dropped by this horse was Amaretto Breedable Bundle with the ID of 1caf7404-XXXX-fe7f-9e4e-2ebXXXf5587

If the horse is has not had any bundles you will see the following in local chat:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: This horse hasn’t had any bundles yet.

If the horse was not owned by you when the last bundle dropped you will see the following in local chat:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: You did not own this horse when its last bundle was born

[17:30] Amaretto Breedable Horse: I’m a male, I don’t give birth!

Now that we have covered the Last Bundle, Let’s cover the Last Bred button…

Let me give you an example of when the Last Bred button comes in handy, say you have lost a bundle… it’s time to file a ticket… but all you remember is the mother and the CSR is asking for parent info… you can click this button on the mother and it will give you the last horse she bred to in local chat.

To get the last bred to information of a horse, K9, or Bird, or Pony simply following these instructions:

  1. Click on the breedable to bring up the Main Menu
  2. From the Main Menu select the Breeding button
  3. From there you select the Last Bred button

You will see in local chat something that looks like this:

[17:30] ~Mr Wild Mustang Clydes~: The latest horse partner was ~Ms Pretty Little Lady~ with the ID of c07e698a-f7f7-5e40-XXX-82c38622XXXX

If the horse has not bred yet you will see the following in local chat:

[17:31] Amaretto Breedable Horse: This horse hasn’t been bred yet.

If the horse was not owned by you when the last horse last bred you will see the following in local chat:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: You did not own this horse when it was last bred.

So you see these two buttons can be very handy, especially when it comes to making your ticket process goes smoother. I hope everyone has a better understanding of these nifty little buttons and utilizes them when needed!

Happy breeding this is Ava over and out!

Which came first…the Chicken or the Egg?

Happy Fri-YAY Fellow Breeders!

Few questions have plagued mankind like the chicken or the egg conundrum. Even Aristotle, the philosopher credited as the first to study formal logic, wondered which came first. Chickens come from eggs, and eggs come from chickens—how can one come before the other?

Evolutionists assert that birds evolved from reptiles over millions of years, so the reptiles eventually laid the egg that hatched as a chicken. The egg came first. While creationists believe that God created mature birds with the ability to reproduce. So the bird was first, ready to lay eggs.

Regardless of the real-life answer, it’s a well-known fact in the world of Amaretto that the egg/nest definitely came first!

Getting started with Starters!

First, go to any Amaretto Barnyard Bird store and purchase a starter pack. https://amarettobreedables.com/pages/locations

Chicken Starter packs come as follows:

  • Hen Booster Pack Single – Single Hen
  • Rooster Booster Pack Single – Single Rooster
  • Barnyard Bird Clutch Pack – 3 Female Starters, 3 Male Starters, 3 Breedable Food, 3 Orange Rinds, 3 Flu Shot, 3 Poultry Glow, and 3 High Potency Seeds
  • Barnyard Birds Farmers Pack – 6 Female Starters, 6 Male Starters, 6 Breedable Food, 6 Orange Rinds, 6 Flu Shot, 6 Poultry Glow, and 6 High Potency Seeds

Duck Starter packs come as follows:

  • Hen Duckling Pack Single – Single Hen
  • Drake Duckling Pack Single – Single Drake
  • Barnyard Duck Paddle Pack- 3 Female Starters, 3 Male Starters, 3 Amaretto Brand Corn Duck Diet, 3 Lettuce Leaves, 3 Flu Shot, 3 Poultry Glow, and 3 High Potency Seeds
  • Barnyard Duck Flock Pack – 6 Female Starters, 6 Male Starters, 6 Amaretto Brand Corn Duck Diet, 6 Lettuce Leaves, 6 Flu Shot, 6 Poultry Glow, and 6 High Potency Seeds

⭐ From July 1 – July 31st all starter packs are 25% off!! ⭐

After you’ve gotten your Barnyard Bird starter nests, rez one from your inventory to the ground. Click the nest and select the “birth” option to get your new baby chick. Your new chick has a default range of 5 meters from “home” which is the spot where you birthed them. To move your chick just select edit and move, or the chick can be taken into inventory and re-rezed to the new location. To set home position in the future, click the chick, select settings, set home. The home position does set automatically on rez when you re-rez a Barnyard Bird. The range is set in meters and is the radius of a circle with the home point as the center. (The radius of a circle is measured from the center to its edge).

From birth to 3 your chick will be either a red, black or yellow baby chick (two different colors for ducks), then at age 4, they will get their adolescent textures which they will keep until the age of 6. When your Barnyard Bird reaches age 7 it will receive its adult textures and all the traits you see on the stats of your Barnyard Bird will become visible on the Bird.

When your Barnyard Bird reaches age 5 their vigor will begin to rise if their vivacity is at 85% or above. Once their vigor reaches 100% and is also age 7 they will be able to mate. In order to have a successful mating both Barnyard Birds need to have 100% vigor, 85% or higher vivacity and be awake. When these conditions are met the Birds will mate and the female will drop a nest without a pregnancy period. You will see on the Birds stats that each Bird has cycles; the Birds start out with 12 cycles and with each nest that is dropped by the female Bird each parent will lose a cycle from their stats.

After having the Barnyard Bird Nest there will be a 3-day “nesting” period for both the male and female Barnyard Bird. After the nesting period is completed it will then take approximately 2 days for the Barnyard Bird to reach 100% vigor provided they have vivacity of 85% or higher.

When your Birds drop their own nests those will be non-starter Barnyard Bird nests. An incubator is used for hatching your non-starter Barnyard Bird Nest. The non-starter nest will take 5 minutes to birth after being sent to the incubator. The incubator can birth up to 12 Barnyard Birds at one time so it is recommended if you are going to be offline to have food sitting near the incubator.

To use the Incubator:

  • Rez the incubator
  • Rez your non-starter Barnyard Bird Nest within 10m of your incubator
  • Left-click your non-starter Barnyard Bird Nest and click incubate
  • Click yes to send to the incubator
  • Wait 5 minutes for your new Barnyard Bird to be hatched

While the eggs are in the incubator you can click the button called list UUID’s this will list all UUIDS of the Barnyard Birds that are birthing. If you have a Barnyard Bird that cannot rez due to lack of prims please give the incubator time as it will also re-rez the Barnyard Bird when the prims are open.

The incubator works for both Chickens and Ducks and is absolutely free at any Barnyard Bird food store location. https://amarettobreedables.com/pages/locations

Now, go out and get some Barnyard Bird nests and start breeding your own Chickens and Ducks today!

Until next time…HAPPY BREEDING! 🥚 🐔

Breeders terms and slang!

$

0

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a great Monday! I wanted to talk with you guys about a few breeding terms that you may or may not be familiar with.

DOS- DIrect Off Spring – this means that mom or dad had the trait desired but the animal itself does not! (DOS animals can pass the desired trait even if not showing if mom or dad had the trait)

OSOS- Off Spring of Off Spring- this means mom and dad did not have desired traits but grandma or grandfather did. (OSOS animals can pass the desired trait even if not showing if grandma or grandfather had the trait)

Recovery – Waiting period between pregnancies
Descendants – A breeding cycle
Vintage – When a ponie has used all of its descendants
Pairing – Having two specific horses or K-9s breed with each other only
Companion – Having two specific Birds breed with each other only
Cycles – Each bird starts with 12 cycles which means that they can drop 12 nests.
Nesting – Waiting period between nests

Now lets talk about DOS and OS of LE, SE, CE, or DEs.
A DOS of any of the following LE, SE, CE, or DEs must be showing their hidden surprise to pass it into the DOS and OSOS.

Example: I breed 2 DE Sharks together I CAN NOT get the Great White eye from a DOS of the DE unless it is SHOWING the Great White Eye.

This isnt a new concept to Amaretto all LE, SE, CE, and DEs have always worked this way.

Its always a good idea to educate yourself on the truth and learn the ins and outs of Amaretto that is why we have a whole school dedicated to just that! So go check out the ARU if you can! This is Ava over and out!

We Love Mutts!

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

All dogs are special! That’s why today, July 31st, we are celebrating National Mutt Day! This day is dedicated to celebrating and saving the lives of mixed breed dogs who often get overlooked. And, hopefully, inspires people to adopt one because there are so many in shelters right now that need a good home.

There are lots of great reasons to adopt a mutt, including the ability to pick exactly the right size and temperament for your family. If you’re not in a position right now to adopt a shelter dog, in honor of National Mutt Day, consider making a financial donation to your local animal shelter. Every dollar counts! You can, also, call your local shelter to learn what supplies they’re running short on and make a donation of food or other necessities.

To learn more about National Mutt Day, visit their website at http://www.nationalmuttday.com/

Amaretto Loves Mutts!

Sometimes when you breed particular things together, they can make some magic and drop some pretty awesome kennels!

By breeding FULL siblings together you have a chance at getting a Mutt. In order to be FULL Siblings, both K-9s must have the same mother and father.

Just look at some of the awesome Mutts you can breed for!

The Mutt coat DOES NOT have the ability to be passed on. However, each Mutt has an exclusive eye that DOES have the ability to be passed on.

No matter whether you have a real-life Mutt or a virtual one, there is no doubt about it – We Love Mutts!

Until next time…HAPPY BREEDING!

Hey everyone its another manic Monday, and I hate to say this but summer is winding down and kids are gearing up to go back to school!

I wanted to show off a little 6.01 newness that I cant believe I didnt shine a light on sooner. The Charmed Bumblebee Shetland!

Take a look at this brand new charmed!

Dont forget the Honey Bee Eye! It does have the ability to pass!

How do you get your hands on this sweet horse?

Charmed Horses are very special horses that can be born at random from ANY horse breeding combination.

Charmed Horses are NOT able to pass their coats. However, you could get extremely lucky and birth another Charmed Horse.

When you breed a Charmed Horse (whether it is with another Charmed Horse or any other horse) you DO have an increased chance at receiving another random Charmed Horse.

The non-Charmed offspring of Charmed Horses do NOT have an increased chance of producing Charmed Horses.

That means EVERYONE has a chance to get one of these! I hope you like the new edition to our already amazing line up of Charmed Horses! This is Ava over and out!

Congrats Grads!

There have been classes who got lots of gifts classes that got no gifts, ARU is not about the gifts. If you are attending ARU in hopes to get a free horse or any animal I have bad news, Amaretto has never said we will give gifts to graduates in exchange for them attending classes.

Just for kicks in case someone doesn’t understand what a gift is
gift
/ɡift/
noun: gift; plural noun: gifts

  1. a thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present.

Amaretto does appreciate the breedable community and people that use our products, so if we did choose to give you a gift then that is what we will do.

If you have any questions about the ARU or classes offered please contact me in world. I hope everyone has a great Monday and Congrats Grads!

How do I reply?

Well i wanted to talk o everyone for a min about something that I have been seeing a lot of lately. We all know that its no fun to file a ticket cause that means there is a problem! Amaretto tries to make it as painless as possible, however we need some help from you guys.

Have you ever seen anyone in the group saying Amaretto hasnt answered my ticket and they closed it! Well let me tell you that Amaretto does answer every ticket, and never close anything without a response, even if we tell you that we cant fix your problem we will always respond.

So one thing that you can do to help us is by not filing multiple tickets for the same issue or a related issue from another ticket.

However there are times that we can not proceed with a ticket until we get all info needed to solve your problem.
If you leave any ticket unresponded to for 3 days your ticket will be closed, but that is only after we have waited for 3 days for your response.

So what should you do if you need to respond to a ticket that you already have open?

Here are the steps to reply to your ticket:

  1. After you have logged in find the button on the top menu bar that says View Tickets.
  2. Once you are in this view you will see your ticket list.
  3. To view your ticket and make a reply click on the title of the ticket above the status bar for it
  4. Once in the ticket you can post a reply in the upper right hand corner with the post reply button
  5. Be sure to reopen the ticket or your response will not be seen

This even works if your ticket was closed because you did not respond within 3 days.

Remember PLEASE DO NOT FILE DUPLICATE TICKETS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. It can cause confusion for the staff and can also delay the ticket process. Tickets can duplicate from hitting refresh on the web page after filing a support ticket. If this is the case, please refrain from hitting refresh when filing future tickets.

If you ever have trouble logging in or filing a ticket please contact me in world Avalon Crystal. Well happy breeding everyone!
