How did you get started in breedables?
;- i went to a horse auction and meet alot of nice and helpful ppl and just became hooked after that.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
No, just Amaretto

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
:- I’m working on a special Valentines horse with pink and red traits together and a pumpkin horse for Halloween. Its never too early to work on a special project and thats what really excites me.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?
At the moment I am just breeding the huskys but I think it is something I will develop when I have more time.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Barnyard Birds?
This is something for the future. I wish to embrace all Amaretto Breedables

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I love DJ’ing and hanging out with my MC (Berserkers MC) and riding with them. Its good to have friends you can rely on.

We have released the K-9 Fix Updater v2.2 at every K-9 store today Feb 1, 2016. Please remember to read the notecards enclosed before updating. This is a fix update ONLY, there are no new things coming from this update, it is just to fix issues with the previous update but it is still mandatory. I will post the info from the notecards below.

***IMPORTANT NOTE***MANDATORY UPDATE******IMPORTANT NOTE***MANDATORY UPDATE******
AFTER MONDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2016 WE WILL NO LONGER PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR AMARETTO K-9S THAT ARE NOT V2.2***K-9S MUST BE UPDATED TO V2.2 TO FUNCTION PROPERLY! (See notecard **AMARETTO MANDATORY 2.2 UPDATE INFORMATION**K-9S included in updater box for more information)

Somethings you need to know about the updater:

**IF THE BULK UPDATER DOESN’T UPDATE ALL YOUR K-9S, RE-REZ THE K-9 AND TRY IT AGAIN, YOU MAY ALSO USE THE SINGLE UPDATER FOR K-9S THE BULK UPDATER DOES NOT UPDATE**

1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one. If you continue to try and update your K-9 It will give you another error message and have you pick one updater up and reset the other. (touch and wait 5 seconds to reset)

2. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater.

Update Instructions:

Single Updater: Place the updater near the K-9 that isn’t updated and click the K-9 and click the update button. The K-9 will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process. ***DO NOT PICK UP K-9S OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

Bulk Updater: Place the bulk updater in the middle of your K-9 breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your K-9s to be set to after the update process, then click the update K-9s button on the updater menu. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all K-9s and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED. ***DO NOT PICK UP K-9S OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

Update v2.2 is MANDATORY. K-9S will no longer function properly if they are not updated to v2.2 by February 15, 2016. Below are some F.A.Q. regarding this MANDATORY update.

Q: What do you mean by “not function properly”?
A: ALL versions that are not v2.2 will no longer produce viable offspring. Meaning any kennel produced by all versions that are not v2.2 will have the text BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS and will not birth.

Q: If I do not update my K-9s before the deadline and I get a kennel that says BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS can I get that kennel fixed?
A: No. That kennel can not be fixed, that is why you must update your K-9s before the deadline of February 15, 2016.

Q: If I do not want to update my K-9s and I have to file a support ticket due to duplicate, lost or broken K-9s, will they come back to me at their original version?
A: No. All K-9s/kennels that go through our support system will return to you at the most current version and will not breed with older versions.

This month the Flags Of the World eye is Iraq!!

These eyes are also random drop. Any breeding during the month of February has a chance at having the Flags Of the World- Iraq eye!

The Flags Of the World Eyes are one set of many exciting possible Non-Starter eyes that can come from breeding any coat/breed.

You can have a chance at one of these exciting Non-Starter eyes as they are randomly dropped into bundles/kennels/nests at the time the it drops.

Your animals need to be current version.

These eyes DO have the ability to pass.

Happy Thursday!  We are going to move back to the Amaretto Alphabet in my Spotlight this week.  This week we discover that “D” is one of the most sought after things in the Amaretto Alphabet!

D is for …. Dazzle!

One of my favorite sets of eyes from the start has been the Dazzle eyes.  These are beautiful all by themselves but of course Amaretto also added a special touch to these eyes with the Dazzle HeartShine and Dazzle StarShine eyes. You can see all these pretty eyes at these links:

Then of course Amaretto decided to add a whole new twist to these eyes on September 1, 2015 with the addition of the Dazzle horses!

Dazzle Horses can only come by breeding a male and a female with Dazzle eyes. (Dazzle, Dazzle HeartShine or Dazzle StarShine) They do not have to be the same Dazzle eyes.

The Dazzle Horses are not Limited Edition Horses.  They are best compared to the Albinos, you just need to breed 2 Dazzle eyes together for the Dazzle Horses and you need to breed 2 Full Siblings together for the Albinos.  So if you want to multi-task your breeding you could breed 2 Full Siblings with Dazzle eyes together and have a chance at getting either an Albino or a Dazzle Horse!

The Saddles that come with each awesome Dazzle Coat are specific to their coat and they do have the ability to pass.  The Dazzle coat you receive will be chosen at random and does NOT have the ability to pass.

However the Dazzle eye and the Dazzle Saddle DOES have the ability to pass!

I am a retired scientist of human genetics from Winnipeg Manitoba in Canada. I got into Second Life as my retirement neared and I decided I want to play more and to make connections with other scientists who are also playing in SL.

I am a Star Trek fan and one of my favorite Star Trek quotes is one Mr. Spock said:

“The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play”

How much simpler can it get to enjoy the simplicity of play than in Second Life?

How did you get started in breedables?

I started with the bunnies.

I do PlantPets which are fun and undemanding.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

Oh my! What and I not doing might be easier.

I came up with the first original special horse after the Vamp. The Woodland Elf is mine. I have had several special project horses over the years. My current and longest lasting special project is my Sun Horse with all orange and sun themed extras. This is as close I have to perfect thus far.

Every time I get close to being finished Amaretto comes out with a new trait or a better one. I don’t think I’ll ever finish it.

I am also trying to get the last 2/24 possible Zodiac coat/eye combinations. I need Cancer Pearl and Libra Sapphire so I am breeding Zodiac eye horses. A lot of them are Mystique siblings as well. I am also working on getting the rest of the Confection horses. I have two. I guess I will collect Dazzles after that.

I am also breeding Percheron sibs to try for an Albino Percheron. I have at least one of all the albino types except Percheron and Exmoor. Once I get a Percheron albino then I’ll try for an Exmoor albino. I have a pair of albino clydes, one double warmth and one double chill and they are also full sibs. Long story behind that pair but it was great fun.

I also like to collect bundles with traits of all possible coat and eye. I have every at least one bundle of every coat except for Brown and Grey, and Silver Dapple Saddlebred
Cream & Silver Icelino Glacier, and Spotted Exmoor Buff, Chestnut, Copper, Fawn. I have all eyes except Pumpkin Spice Latte, Mulled Cider, and Hot Buttered Rum. Well a few of the newer ones I don’t have yet. I still hunt for those old missing ones when I am going through bundles.

I also collect LEs and special horses. So I have at least one pet of all types of the charmed, LEs, Galaxy, Showhorses, Elementals, Haven horses, donkeys and mules. It is so much fun collecting them! I keep them near my race track at 1700m in Nerice. I can train horses and admire my lovelies at the same time. I just started doing it a few years back and I keep adding them as new ones come out. It’s grown into a lot of pets now but I love it. I guess I feed my inner hoarder in SL. My absolute favorites are the Galaxy set. Another special favorite is one time I accidentally bred sibs in my Sun Horse project and I got the loveliest orange albino I kept as a pet.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?

None. I tried them but I kept accidentally letting them starve because they didn’t hold my interest. Its weird because of how much I love the horses. Silly me.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Barnyard Birds?

I think the barnyard birds are the absolute best animated chicken in SL. I am breeding a selection of colors which I will turn into pets to run around in the sim I manage as part of the “decor” at the old fashioned windmill.

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable ?

Horses, no question.

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

I am co-owner of Breedable Bartering along with Kini Barbosa. Keeping on top of that can be time consuming. People take their horses and their barters very seriously!

I help out with Virtual Ability. They help bring people with a wide range of disabilities into Second Life, and provide them with a supporting environment once here.

I also was assisting a university course associated with Wayne State University that as held in SL at the graduate level. I did that for six years but we are taking a year off.

I also manage an estate on a whole sim in the Mainland called Nerice. I made a parkland with trails for riding horses around a lake with a year round Christmas Land on one corner and a lake in the centre. It’s open to the public so everyone is invited to visit me in Nerice.

I also do some amateur scripting and building.

Sometimes I just go riding in SL. I Love taking my Memorable Haven Horse I named Michelangelo riding int he night sky in SL.

Exotic Birds are Special/Rare Birds that will give a gradual boost to the Vivacity of birds within 10 meters over a period of time

Exotic Birds are very special birds that can be born at random from ANY bird breeding combination.

As an added twist the Exotic birds have the possibility of being found in the Starter packs!! Yes that means you could buy any of the starter packs at the stores and possibly have an Exotic bird in it!! That’s pretty cool!

When you breed an Exotic bird (whether it is with another Exotic Bird or any other bird) you do have an increased chance at receiving another random Exotic Bird!  The non-Exotic offspring of the Exotic Birds do NOT have an increased chance of producing Exotic Birds.

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?
I’m from Michigan, and I actually found out about SL through my job in an academic library. At first my exploration was to see if SL would be useful as a learning platform. It didn’t take long before I got hooked on the social aspects. I can’t believe that I’ve been in SL for over 9 years!

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
Horses, K-9s, and Barnyard Birds

How did you get started in breedables?
I was wandering around a breedables market in 2010 and saw the beta for Amaretto horses. I couldn’t wait until they became available. It was total chaos when the first horses came out. I missed the server meltdown, though, because I was at work.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
Yes, I’ve owned a lot — Champion horses, ABC horses, KittyCatS, Ozimals, Dodos (almost forgot about them), Meeroos, Mystics.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
I recently got my first glitter horns, so I’m adding them to my Imagination Emeralds; Molten Roan Gold’s and Silver’s.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?
I just got my very first crazed — Rainbow Crazed Coat Into The Wild Zebra!

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Barnyard Birds?
No special projects right now.

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
The horses

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I like dancing and attending live concerts. I used to enjoy modifying prefab houses, but I rarely have a house now, because I need the prims for my breedables!

Happy Thursday!! It’s been an exciting day with the newness showing up from the Valentine Editions!  Hope you are all enjoying seeing the new things!  It’s time for my Spotlight to continue shining on the Amaretto Alphabet and we’re moving right along to one of the greatest things available in the Amaretto horses!

F ………… is for Forever Foal!

The Forever Foal is a certificate you can buy for your retired horse so that it will NOT require food anymore!  This means you can keep your horse in your inventory as long as you want and when you take it out it will not be hungry!!

The Forever Foal certificate is sold in all Amaretto Stores.  It must be redeemed by the person who purchases it.  After using the certificate the hover text will say Pet instead of Retired.  All other functions for a Retired horse will still operate normally.   The Forever Foal certificate is an option available for the horses, it is not a requirement.  If you do not want to purchase it you can continue to fee your retired horse’s pet food.

After you purchase the Forever Foal certificate all you need to do is place the certificate and the retired horse you wish to be a Forever Foal in a folder and name the folder “Forever Foal <your sl name>”.  Then you send that folder to Jaymee Caproni and she will work her magic and return the horse to you in a folder named “Forever Foal from Jaymee Caproni”.   It’s just that easy!!

Once a retired horse is turned into a Forever Foal it cannot be turned back.

‘**IMPORTANT NOTE** Although the certificates are transferable, they MUST be turned in by the PURCHASER ONLY. The reason this is a requirement is because every certificate is checked against our transaction data base. Once a certificate is redeemed by the PURCHASER it is marked as Redeemed and becomes void. The reason we have the certificate as transferable is so the purchaser may pass the certificate to Jaymee Caproni for redemption. Again, please remember, the certificates CAN NOT be purchased and transferred to another avatar for redemption. I will not be able to redeem the certificate, and it will be returned.

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing AussieBloke Siemens so when you see him in the groups give him a big hello!

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?
Well, as my name would suggest, I am from Australia. I currently live in South Australia, where I have met the love of my life, in GMT+9.5. I saw Second Life on a Television program and decided to give it a crack. I have been mistaken for Austrian, and a female, although I thought ‘Bloke’ was a dead giveaway.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
At the moment, I am doing the horses only, but I have bred chickens and K9’s in the recent past.

How did you get started in breedables?
The usual way. A well-meaning friend said, “Here. Have a couple of horses. They aren’t addictive.” LIES! I’ve been hooked ever since.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
I have dabbled in others, but none were ever a serious contender.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
Hmmm I have a few little ones simmering away. I have a few breeding for 25T’s, some Black and Whites, Pinks and Purples, and a cute Spotted Shetland with Saddle in a color combination that looks unexpectedly pretty. (More later on that one) I am also breeding 15x Nulls and have quite a few of them.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?
Nothing at this time, just the crazed when we have the stock.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Barnyard Birds?
Same as the K9’s at this stage

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
Ask me which is my favorite child. It would be easier. (Horses actually)

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I like to look at the markets, or go exploring. I haven’t had a lot of free time in SL lately, but I have always enjoyed live shows, and tribute bands.

I wanted to take a few moments to talk about all the surprises that came from the Wild Love Edition Animals!

First up Barnyard Birds! By breeding two Wild Love Edition Barnyard Birds togther you have a chance at getting a brand NEW trait! Two colors were released and have the ability to pass on!

Introducing to you Wing Red Heart and Wing Pink Heart!!!! That brings our max trait on a Barnyard Bird to 11! Congrats to everyone who got this trait!!!

Now one of my favorites the K-9s!! By breeding two Wild Love Edition K-9s you have the chance to get two NEW colored Dipped Ears! Thats right introducing to you Dipped Ear Pink and Dipped Ear Red!!!

These NEW Dipped Ears DO have the ability to pass! I can’t wait to see these on your projects!

Last but not least the horses! By breeding two Wild Love Edition Horses together you have a chance at getting two brand NEW Brandings!!! These are full color brandings and they have the ability to pass on!!

Happy Thursday!! It was good to see so many of you out at the Community Meeting last night!  Those are always super fun and we enjoy getting to see so many of the names we talk with in group in “virtual person”!  This week we are going to continue our journey through the Amaretto Alphabet by talking about some of the most sought after horses out there!

G…………….. is for Galaxy Horses!!

The Galaxy horses are some of my personal favorites!  These beautiful horses can be randomly birthed from breeding any 2 horses that have Galaxy eyes. That’s the only requirement!! You can check out all the Galaxy eyes by going to this link here:

The Galaxy Horses can NOT pass their coats.  However, breeding a Galaxy horse with another Galaxy horse or with any other horse with Galaxy eyes you will slightly increase your chance for another Galaxy Horse.

I also make sure that my Galaxy eye horses are siblings that way I have a chance at getting either a Galaxy horse or an Albino!! Multi-tasking Amaretto style!!

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Fe Dubrovna. Fe is in the Amaretto Group so when you see her give her a big hello!!

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?
Hi! I’m Fe….in RL and SL! I am from Memphis, TN where I work as a dog groomer at an animal hospital. I used to work for a corporate salon and one of the other groomers recommended Secondlife to me. After day 1 I was hooked.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
All of them, I have them all! Horses, K9s, and Barnyard Birds. It’s an addiction. I plan to own the ponie pals too as soon as they’re released!

How did you get started in breedables?
I lived with my close family here for years. We lived together and would help each other run our different businesses and build together. In October 2010, Kiyla brought home a baby horse and we all fell in love. In a matter of weeks we had the whole sim filled with them and had to move just so we could have room for our work and our horses.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
I used to breed Meeroos too, but stopped shortly after they were released. I still have a beta meeroo, but no longer breed them.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
My main project for the past year is a Whovian Horse because I am a fan of Doctor Who. It has 15 traits and I am almost there. I just birthed a horse with 13 of the needed traits!

Aside from that I am still trying for an Albino Percheron or an Albino Exmoor Pony.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s?
I have a few sets breeding for Blanco’s and mutts that I do not currently own.

Also, as a collector I had a hard time finding the 2013 Give Thanks Mahogany k9. Now that I have found one I am breeding him trying to get more of these out into circulation for anyone else that might be out searching for one.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Barnyard Birds?
I am trying to get more 2013 Give Thanks Mahogany birds out into circulation…same reason as the k9 version of it.
What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
This isn’t a fair question. How do you pick? I’ve loved horses for 5 years! I love the doggies too! If I did have to pick, I would have to pick the horses. They have had a place in my heart for the longest.

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I was no aware there was anything else. O.O I’m just kidding…sorta lol. I no longer build in SL because collecting takes a lot of my time. I search over 10 sims daily to try to find things I am missing and help other collectors sometimes find things they are missing as well. Other than that I do try to spend time hanging out with friends when they are online, playing games, and going on an occasional hunt for a gacha when someone drags me along lol
