Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!
Since I will not be writing another Connection until after Christmas, I thought it would be nice for the Staff and Moderators to share a little of ourselves with the Community during this holiday season. So, I ‘poked and prodded’ each one and got a few tidbits to share with you!
Amaretto Ranch Owners/Creators: Josaphine & Jaysin Cooperstone
Josie & Jaysin are a real life married couple who reside in Golden State of Californina. Josie is a Registered Nurse and Jaysin is a certified HVAC/R Technician. They both started playing Second Life as a hobby, found breedables and the rest is history! Jaysin said, “I started learning how to script basically as soon as my avatars feet hit the SL dirt.” When not overseeing the Amaretto Ranch operations, they both enjoy spending time with family. Josie, also, has interests in other real life business opportunities and Jaysin plays video games and does carpentry in his spare time.
General Manager: Avalon Crystal
Perhaps you’ve heard the slogan “Don’t Mess with Texas!” Well Texas girl Ava is not to be messed with either. She’s the Amaretto Copybot Killa! Actually, Ava is the sweetest person you could ever know. She stated, “I try to be there for everyone and to always listen and help.” Her twelve years experience in management helps her do a great job at Amaretto. Ava found Second Life by watching MTV True Life. In real life, she is recently married and enjoys spending time with friends, family and her gorgeous little puppies!
Assistant Manager: Jaymee Caproni
For those of you who may not know, Jaymee is Josie’s real life sister. She resides in sunny Southern California. “I have had many different jobs, from a 411 operator to a Licensed Vocational Nurse, but working for Amaretto has been the most exciting and fulfilling,” said Jaymee. When she’s not overseeing Amaretto Ranch University and the Moderators, Jaymee is the mother of four amazing children. Her idea of fun is sitting at home doing nothing but relaxing! She loves muscle cars (“Mopar!”) and playing Mortal Kombat!
Web Master & Script Wrangler: Tmzasz Luminos
A self professed, “geek by day, nerd by nite,” Tm keeps the Amaretto websites running smoothly and, along with Jaysin, does all the scripting for Amaretto. Tm hails from the State of Virginia and enjoys a wide gamut of hobbies. Some of them include computers, anime, photography, cooking, ham radio, electronics and, “pretty much anything else that either geek or nerd may apply to!” Tm says he found SL when looking for a MMORPG (Massively Multi-play On-line Role Play Game) and discovered it to be much, much more.
Graphics Wranglers: Chronic Stoneage, Nashville Cortes and Sylver Blu (Kat)
While Chronic and Nash’s busy schedule did not afford me the opportunity to interview them, they are an integral part of the design team. Chronic hand pants every texture, while Nash designs and creates all sculpts. Oh, and Nash loves robots! Remember the Amarettobürger? http://amarettobreedables.com/connection/?p=13946
Kat is the newest member of the Amaretto design team. He currently calls Louisiana home. In Kat’s own words, “I love to play video games, collect shiny things, make cosplay, drink excessive amounts of coffee, and draw!” He has two cats and a wonderful fiancé who he calls his “radiant muse.” His dream is to create video games. Despite being ‘new’ to the team, he has actually been working with Amaretto for the past two years on various projects. “You’ve already seen my work as part of the Ponie Pals and the 2017 Thanksgiving coats! I’m very excited about what I can bring to Amaretto in the future, and hope you will be to!” he said.
Moderators: Anaconda Carter, Lamia Starspear, Markus Margulis, Bastian Hax, Snookiegirl Resident and myself, Blush Topaz
Ana is another California girl. She resides near Yosemite Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada mountains. She describes it as, “one of the best places to see waterfalls.” Ana is a snake breeding, chihuahua owing, craft obsessed grandmother! She is, also, a karaoke fanatic! As Ana said, “without music, what else is there?” She used to own real life horses but now she just owns the Amaretto kind. I’d say she is a bit of TV nostalgia buff as well, professing, “I still have every single episode of the TV series Beauty and The Beast on VHS!”
For those that know Lamia, know she’s a dragon! An SL dragon! Lamia has been on SL for over 7½ years and has been breeding Amaretto from the beginning. She loves them all! She states, “I’m also a HUGE collector and my favorite part of Amaretto is breeding for those special coats.” When not doing her Amaretto thing, Lamia enjoys role-playing, online gaming and chatting with friends on Skype. From the Great Lakes State of Michigan, she juggles being a single mother with a full-time job, and said, “WHEW, that’s a lot on my plate but it all works out!”
From across the pond (Atlantic Ocean) comes our handsome Dane, Marku. Not only does Marku love Amaretto animals, but real life animals as well. In his free time, he volunteers at an animal rescue center near his home in Denmark. He, also, has a close connection with the local vet to help with animals. He lives with his two teenage daughter, two bulldogs, a bearded dragon, a big aquarium and thirty pet rats. He told me they are all rescues, except for the daughters! “My heart and soul belongs to my kids and animals,” he said.
Our kilt wearing Scotsman is Bazza! He stays busy running a breedable market, which he owns with Marku. Together they created ‘The Amaretto Community’ website. The goal for the website and it’s forum is to “promote the community spirit and overall togetherness of our market, its users and breedable locations across the Second Life grid.” Bazza and Marku, also, host a fashion blog. Bazza stated, “I have a great big family in Second Life that I love to spend time with doing crazy stuff!” In real life, Bazza has a dog and three unusual pets – Tarantulas! “But, I love them all equally!” he said.
The Garden State of New Jersey (that’s SOUTH JERSEY!) is where Snookie calls home. In Second Life, Snookie loves to breed and interact with the Amaretto Community. She likes being a Moderator and ARU Instructor because it gives her the opportunity to help other breeders. “Seeing all the goodies the community posts every day is very enjoyable,” she said. In real life, she is an avid traveler and prefers cruises. She is, also, a mom of six, a grandmother of 13 and a great-grandmother of 3, “soon to be 4!” To quote her, “So that being said, my RL can be busy, especially during the holiday season!” But, I know she loves every minute of it!
Then there is me, Blush! I live in ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ with my four cats. I love anything literary, artistic and musical. I think in song lyrics! I have a collection of over 3000 books, mostly historical fiction and non-fiction and children’s stories. I worked for many years in the marketing side of both the medical and banking industries. I came to SL at the suggestion of a friend and love that it allows you to create your own virtual reality and be anything you want to be. My Amaretto addiction began with just one bundle! Lastly, I want to let those, that may be having a hard time with the holidays, know that ‘YOU ARE NOT ALONE.’ #18002738255
